The DriveMotion 12V 24AH battery is the highest-capacity battery in this format. It's available in two different terminal configurations. The ones displayed here include the threaded insert configuration and the Nut and Boly style configuration. These batteries are high-quality battery units. The SB12240DT & The SB12240DT are built to last and outperform other batteries in their class. Most people don’t give a great deal of consideration to their battery and its inherent quality. Many dismiss all batteries as the same. This is just not the case. When compared with similar SLA units on the market, you will see the difference in the quality in the DriveMotion range against many other companies that supply cheap, low-quality batteries.

The SB12240DT/D is a battery on which you can always rely. It is a deep cycle battery and is designed explicitly for Heavy-duty deep discharge applications such as scooters, Mobility wheelchairs, and recreational vehicles. Batteries are our business, and we have been supplying this product for many years. Check which type of connection you will need in your application before purchasing. In most instances, the threaded-style battery will replace the nut and bolt style.

Service Life of this kind of battery

• Improper charging (overcharging and lack of charging) is the number one reason why AGM/VRLA batteries fail prematurely. Follow the charging guidelines found on this specification sheet.
• Elements that affect Cycle Life: Various factors will affect the service life of AGM/VRLA batteries in cyclic applications; ambient operation temperature, discharge rate, depth of discharge, how the battery is recharged, and the timeliness of the recharge, to obtain maximum service life it is recommended not to go beyond 80% DOD and if at all possible limit it to 50% DOD. At 50%, you will obtain the ideal trade-off for life expectancy for AGM batteries. This recommendation goes for all brands of AGM batteries.
• Elements that affect standby life: All the same factors are responsible, but the most important in this case is the ambient temperature, followed closely by the charging parameters. For example - In an enclosed box cabinet with no ventilation, temperatures are most often than not well above 25°C in the summer. Henceforth, battery life is severely affected.

Warnings
• Never install AGM/VRLA batteries in an airtight container.
• Keep away from sparks and any source of flames.
• Connect cables tightly to avoid sparks at terminals.
• The electrolyte contains sulfuric acid, which can cause severe damage to the eyes and skin. Should this occur, flush profusely with water and seek medical attention.
• Do not short-circuit AGM/VRLA terminals with a metal object. They are capable of generating hundreds of amperes. You can seriously burn yourself in short-circuiting a battery.

Fantastic battery

Fantastic battery!! Well made and I love the integral carry handles. I've gone crazy trying 2 other batteries that were supposedly 12v20ah. They gave me 1/4 of the range I got with the original batteries on the mobility scooter I bought 3 years ago. Then they would die and I had to limp home. I returned them and they squealed.So far I have been unable to drain these Drive Motion batteries even after driving 35 km. I will try to test their limit. I highly recommend these batteries.

International (USA): We can ship NiMh, Alkaline, Sealed Lead Acid, and NiCd batteries to the United States but we are unable to ship lithium batteries to the USA by the postal service. You would need to select one of the other carriers for this chemistry

FedEx Ground: This method of shipping is the fastest method of shipping Lithium Metal batteries. Usually more economical for heavier shipments. we can ship all chemistries of the battery via this service.
International (USA): We can ship Lithium Ion, Lithium Polymer NiMh, Alkaline Sealed Lead Acid, and NiCd batteries to the United States but we are unable to ship lithium metal batteries to the USA by Air. You would need to select FedEx ground for this chemistry.

Purolator

Purolator Ground: This method of shipping is economical and reliable. Usually more economical for heavier shipments. we can ship all chemistries of the battery via this service.

UPS

UPS Standard: This shipping method is the fastest method of shipping Lithium Metal batteries. Usually more economical for heavier shipments. We can ship all chemistries of the battery via this service.
International (USA): We can ship Lithium Ion, Lithium Polymer NiMh, Alkaline Sealed Lead Acid, and NiCd batteries to the United States but we are unable to ship lithium metal batteries to the USA by Air.

Customs and Import Duties

Please note your order may be subject to Retail Sales Tax, import duties, and/or taxes. These may be applied by your country when your package reaches your country.
