it's important to note that these UPS batteries need to be charged at least once every three months, The batteries discharge naturally over time and once left in a discharged state for extended periods they may eventually fail to take a charge. Batteries left to discharge are not covered by the manufacturers warranty. Make sure you check that both your battery model and device are shown the information tables below. An easy way to test your UPS batteries to see if they have failed is to remove the batteries from the unit and then measure the voltage across the terminals. A new battery would usually have a voltage of around 13V. One that is Tired and ready for replacement would usually be around 10V to 12V. If you look after your new battery and only charge the battery when it gets low, This will extend the life of the battery. If the battery is charged too often you will use up the cycle life quickly.
