The Panasonic Eneloop batteries (Formally Sanyo Eneloop) were the worlds first Low discharge battery. What does low discharge mean you may ask. Well this means that the batteries will retain their charge for up to 3 times that of a regular Nimh or nicd battery. Great if you want to use them in a device which is likely to sit around before being used. The new Eneloop battery now utilizes Panasonics advanced rechargeable cell technology which gives them the added bonus of being able to recharge the batteries up to 2100 times.
