The battery worked as expected. Since I do not have the data to compare the original vs replacement batteries' performance, longevity per charge etc., will not comment on that. Current performance seems to be perfectly reasonable ans without any issues. Will definitely come back for my future purchases.

Fits like it should. The screwdrivers in the actual battery package are not well made for the screws on the A1278 Macbook pro BUT Canadian Batteries, included a laptop/phone tool kit that worked perfectly. Battery shows a good charge, but it's lifespan remains to be seen.
